Penguatan Keterampilan Komunikasi Lisan Bahasa Inggris melalui Workshop Storytelling Berbasis Komunitas bagi Remaja Lokal di Kutacane

Keterampilan komunikasi lisan bahasa Inggris masih menjadi tantangan utama bagi remaja di wilayah semi-perdesaan seperti Kutacane, Aceh Tenggara. Minimnya paparan bahasa, rendahnya rasa percaya diri, serta terbatasnya kesempatan praktik berbahasa menyebabkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris belum berkembang optimal. Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) berbasis komunitas ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat keterampilan komunikasi lisan bahasa Inggris melalui workshop storytelling terstruktur yang mengintegrasikan narasi budaya lokal. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pembelajaran partisipatif, praktik storytelling terpandu, interaksi sebaya, role-play, serta sesi refleksi dan umpan balik. Peserta berjumlah 30 remaja usia 15–18 tahun yang berasal dari kelompok belajar masyarakat di Kutacane. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test kemampuan berbicara, lembar observasi, serta refleksi peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pelafalan, kelancaran, penggunaan kosakata, dan kepercayaan diri berbicara. Selain itu, pemanfaatan cerita lokal meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta dan relevansi budaya. Program ini membuktikan bahwa storytelling berbasis komunitas merupakan pendekatan yang efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris remaja lokal.
